2. Hosting and content delivery network

This website is provided via the platform Lovable and delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, technical server log files are automatically collected, in particular: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system.

This processing serves the secure, stable and fast delivery of the website and the defence against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website. Log data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes.

Data may be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on the basis of which the European Commission has determined an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, standard contractual clauses have been concluded.

3. Web fonts

To display text consistently, this website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). For this purpose your browser connects to Google servers, which transmits your IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in a uniform and appealing presentation. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

4. Booking and contact requests

When you send a booking request for Villa Glycine (Saint-Tropez) or Ocean's 18 (Sylt), or an enquiry for a wedding or event, we process the data you provide: name, email address, phone number (optional), desired dates, number of guests and your message.

We process this data to handle your request and to prepare a rental agreement. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). The data is stored in a protected database operated by our hosting provider within the infrastructure described above and is accessible only to us.

If no contract is concluded, your data will be deleted no later than six months after your request has been fully processed. If a contract is concluded, we store the data for the duration of the contractual relationship and thereafter only as long as statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial and tax law, up to ten years) require. Availability shown in the booking calendar contains no personal data.

5. Local storage in your browser

To remember your language choice (English, German or French), it is stored in the local storage (localStorage) of your browser. This information remains on your device, is not transmitted to us and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in user-friendly operation.

We do not use marketing or tracking cookies, analytics tools or social media plugins.

6. External links

This website contains links to external media reports, for example in British Vogue and Gala. Data is only transmitted to the respective operator once you click such a link. We have no influence on the processing there; the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
